EDUCATION

I got my first Masters degree in Political Science (Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich) with semesters at Columbia University (New York). I then went to London for my second Masters in Journalism – and fell madly in love with the city. Since 2008 I call it my home.

WORK

My journalism work has been published in Spiegel Online, Spiegel Geschichte, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Euronews and dpa amongst others. My current project involves reporting on the women’s movements in Bangladesh in the wake of the protests against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for which I travelled across the country.

CURRENT PROJECTS OF MY LITERARY WORK

Since 2025, I have been represented by a literary agency in Berlin.

I am one of 15 participants of the Darmstädter Textwerkstatt 2025, led by Kurt Drawert.

My current research for a book project is supported by a scholarship of the Bavarian Ministry of State (Bayern Innovativ).

As part of the event “Original Europe – a multilingual night of literature” organized by the Goethe Institut and the Institut Français Munich, I presented an essay entitled “Do you stay when everyone leaves?”. It describes the feelings of Europeans in London after brexit.

My short story ‘Blau’ was published on the Literaturportal Bayern which can be heard here. (min 33.05)

I am a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London.
